Simon's Blog - Britain's Tallest Living Christmas Tree

It might seem a bit early to be putting the lights on the Christmas tree but when there are a whopping 1800 of them and the tree is one hundred and twenty feet and six inches, high you would want to make sure everything was working fine.

On Thursday I helped the team at Wakehurst Place in Sussex to measure the giant redwood tree and to check that none of the bulbs had gone out!

The official switch on date is December 4th to coincide with the start of the Glow Wild Winter Lantern Festival at Wakehurst Place.
