Simon's Blog - When It's Spring Again...
...I'll bring again...tulips from Amsterdam!
Or rather honeysuckle from Pevensey as the case maybe.
But it's not just Ken Burnett who's got a "spring in autumn" thing on the go.
Mary Dudman in Andover has got a very healthy looking primrose.
And get the cream in as Maureen Rivers in Ramsgate has had a second harvest of strawberries.
Lets hope there’s enough sun to get them ripe.
Jules Taylor in Littlehampton has still got several thriving sunflowers.
Although as you can see from David Tarr's photo from Shoreham-by-Sea...
...they’re clearly not to everyone’s liking!
And finally have you ever seen one of these before?
It’s growing in Pamela & Malcolm’s garden in Smeeth and it’s an Akebia Quinata “Alba” climbing plant and those are it’s “sausage fruits” which appear after flowering in the early autumn.
If you've any other seasonal anomalies in your garden, please let me know by emailing meridianweather@itv.com or tweeting me @SimonParkinITV if you're on Twitter.
