Margate's Dreamland Scenic Railway to open this week

It's been announced that Dreamland's Scenic Railway in Margate will open on Thursday.

The Grade II listed ride was not ready for visitors at the park’s grand opening on June 19.

Last year the wooden attraction, which is the oldest roller coaster in the UK, blew down in high winds and in April 2008 it was badly damaged by a major fire.

The railway's launch marks the completion of The Amusement Park part of a £28m development project, with restored rides and amusements.
