Simon's Blog - Autumn Or Spring?
So here's the thing...it looks like summer...but is fact autumn...although there are spring things happening all across the region.
Thanks for all of the seasonal anomalies that have been turning up in my meridianweather@itv.com inbox, like Stephanie in Pevensey's confused rhododendron and Jack Tomlin's unexpected blossom on his miniature pear tree.
This is Danny Johnson’s strawberry plant that's reflowering (is that a real word?) in Southampton.
Whilst the aptly named Wendy Gardner from Golden Green has got lupins in full flower again
Pete Rose’s wife’s bottle brush cutting has also decided to flower.
Loads of them came out at the start of the summer but only this one has come back at the end.
This is the second coming of Graham Bye’s Azalea in Sandhurst.
And finally Deana Ould in Tunbridge Wells went away on holiday for a week. When she came back she found her Yukka was in flower for first time in all of the twenty years she's been growing it.
