Highclere Castle has been the face of Downtown Abbey for six years. It sits on the Hampshire-Berkshire border and was chosen as the home of the Grantham family by writer and friend of the Carnarvons, Julian Fellowes.

But what has the hit show meant for the stately home which has now become a major tourist attraction?
