Drivers ignoring speed limit on 'mass pile-up' bridge
Two months after the introduction of a 50mph speed limit on the Sheppey Crossing following a pile-up of 150 cars, most drivers are ignoring the restriction.
Forty people were injured when the vehicles crashed in September 2013. Later a mother and her young son were killed in a separate crash.
As a result a speed limit was introduced as a safety measure but it's been revealed that many motorists are simply not paying any attention to it.
The local MP, Gordon Henderson, says heads will roll unless further improvements are made to improve safety on the crossing.
