Forklift truck crashes causing huge hole in wall

An investigation is underway today into how a forklift truck smashed a 25ft hole into a wall.

It is thought the operator of the small lifting vehicle was reversing in the warehouse of paint manufacturers Farrow and Ball when he accidentally collided with the shutter door.

The front of a Mercedes A1 car parked outside the building was also wrecked in the incident.

The collision sent breeze blocks and debris everywhere and left a work colleague injured after he was struck by a brick.

A spokesman for Farrow and Ball said the employee suffered 'an injury' and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
