UKIP candidate threatens to shoot Conservative rival in provocative rant

The UKIP parliamentary candidate for North East Hampshire has been suspended after being caught on film threatening to shoot his Conservative rival in a provocative rant.

Robert Blay was filmed saying that if Ranil Jayawardena becomes MP, he would "personally put a bullet between his eyes".

He states that he "loathes" the Tory candidate Jayawardena and that "a monkey...with a blue rosette" could win in his constituency, in Daily Mirror clip.

The UKIP candidate then claims that Ranil Jayawardena is "not British enough to be in our parliament" because of his Asian origins (his father comes from Sri Lanka).
