The addition of the big screen, revealing the hitherto hidden performers and showing off the Cathedral’s lovely Father Wills organ, is an exciting innovation that will offer Cathedral concertgoers an even richer experience of an already a compelling line up of well known and accomplished artists.

The new ‘Big Screen’ organ concert series opens on Wednesday 15 April with the Alcock Recital, given by renowned organist Sarah Baldock.

Sarah is a familiar face to Salisbury Cathedral concertgoers, having held organist’s posts at both Chichester and Winchester Cathedrals. Her wide-ranging programme this year opens with William Mathias’s Toccata Giacosa, and features two contrasting works by Bach, along with compositions by Anton Heiller, César Franck, Kenneth Leighton, Frank Bridge and Louis Vierne.
