Appeal for new homes for long-term abandoned dogs

Theo is looking for a new home Credit: Battersea Dogs & Cats Home

An appeal has been launched to find new homes for two dogs abandoned at an animal rescue centre in Kent.

Four-and-a-half year old Jack Russell Jake was taken to the Battersea Dogs and Cat Home in Brands Hatch five months ago, by his owner who couldn’t look after him anymore.

He's described as a lively and spirited little dog who will need an owner with a calm household and willingness to work on his behaviour.

Three-year-old Alaskan Malamute Theo arrived at Battersea as a stray in September.

He's described as a beautiful dog but is headstrong and juvenile, so new owners really need experience of the breed and lots of patience for training him further.
