Simon's Blog - It's Christmas!

As the old song says "It's the most wonderful time of the year" and people across the region are doing some pretty wonderful things involving thousands of light bulbs and hefty electricity bills and all for some very good causes.

The King family in Horsham in Sussex have been busy with their decorations which help raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation.

Martin and Debbie are on the Barton Estate in Oxford and they decorate their house like this…

...and collect for the My Life My Choice charity.

Meanwhile in Denmead in Hampshire and Jane White’s dad has been putting up the Christmas lights for about 15 years...

....and he collects for Help For Heroes.

And finally picture the scene...Tracey Hughes was out for a walk in the Avon Country Park last weekend and came across this unusual tree...

How lovely is that to find a decorated tree in a park! She said it made her day.

If you've got a fantastically decorated house or you walk down a beautifully lit street, we'd love to see it so please take a photo and send it to meridianweather@itv.com or tweet me @SimonParkinITV if you're on Twitter.
