Underwater search in connection with 2002 disappearance of Reading woman
Thames Valley Police officers are conducting an underwater search near Reading, in connection with the disappearance of a woman 12 years ago.
The search is taking place in two ponds in wooded areas of Burghfield.
Catherine Nee was 32 years old when she was last seen by her family in 2002 and was living at that time in the Ilfracombe area of Devon.
She was originally from the Reading area and still had family and connections in the area where she was known by some as Kathy.
Thames Valley Police launched a missing person investigation on behalf of Catherine’s family in 2012.
New information has since come to light, and throughout today and Thursday officers are conducting searches in Burghfield for items which may help with the investigation.
