An English Defence League (EDL) and Unite union counter-protest in Bournemouth cost Dorset Police £130,000.

The planned protests in August required help from other police forces across the south - at a cost of £115,000.

Dorset Police say extra help was necessary in order to ensure a normal police service for local residents.

The protests passed peacefully along the agreed routes.
