Council continuing to support residents after explosion

The scene on Howards Grove after a gas explosion earlier this week

Southampton City Council has issued an update on the gas explosion which ripped through a family home in the city. The house on Howards Grove collapsed in the early hours of Tuesday 18th November.

A father and his four-year-old child were pulled from the rubble alive. Other residents had to be rehoused in temporary accommodation because of fears about the structural safety of surrounding buildings after the explosion.
