A brand new primary school set up by parents will open in Reading in September bringing desperately needed extra school places. But like many others set up under the government's free school programme, The Heights Primary School, Caversham, has struggled to find a suitable site. It's ended up having to settle for a temporary home 2.5 miles across town from the heart of its catchment area.

Christine Alsford talked to headteacher, Karen Edwards, director of The Heights Trust, Ruth Rosewell, and parent Joanne Mann about preparations for the new school.
