Rail disruption: Southeastern trains
Southeastern have made the following announcement due to the bad weather conditions - you can find out more information on their website here:
Extremely strong winds and heavy rainfall is forecast to hit the south east in the early hours of Monday 28 October.
Network Rail has advised that due to the risk of fallen trees onto railway lines, damage to equipment and localised flooding we will not be able to run a train service until they give us the all clear, and it is safe to do so.
Network Rail will be out across the network at first light to clear the track and repair any damage as quickly as possible.
We are monitoring the situation closely and we expect to run a reduced service tomorrow. At this stage it is likely that these services won’t commence operating until around 9am. We will provide a service update on our website as the morning progresses.
Passengers are advised to check for live running information from the Southeastern website:www.southeasternrailway.co.uk or from National Rail Enquiries www.nationalrail.co.uk
