How did two children and a man die?
The deaths of a man and two young children are under investigation in Wiltshire. The three bodies were found in a flat at Tidworth in Wiltshire at lunchtime on Saturday.
At about 1.20pm, Wiltshire Police's control room was called by Great Western Ambulance Service after they had beencalled to a flat in Auchinleck House in Sidbury Heights.
Officers found the body of aman, thought to be in his thirties, in one room and those of two young childrenin another room.
The property was cordoned off and a fullforensic examination is being undertaken by crime scene investigators and apathologist.
The Wiltshire Coroner has been informed andpost mortem examinations are to be conducted.
The police investigation is being led byDetective Chief Inspector Ian Saunders of the Brunel Major Crime InvestigationTeam. An incident room has been set up at Marlborough Police Station. He told ITV Meridian:
“We believewe know the identities of the people who have died, but formal identificationhas not yet taken place.
“At this early stage we cannot be sure whathas led up to this terrible incident, but I can say that we are treating thetragic deaths of the two children as suspicious.
“I am not looking for anyone else at thistime in connection with this incident
“The mother of the children has beeninformed and we are seeking to contact other family members.
“Our thoughts are with the family andfriends of those who have died.”
Officers have been speaking to witnesses andresidents but are appealing for the public to come forward if they can helpwith any information.
The investigation team would like to hearfrom anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the seven dayssince last Saturday in the area of Auchinleck House and the surrounding area.
