RNLI rescue on Dorset beach
The RNLI is recognised as one of the best life saving charities in the world and it is now hoping to expand it's work overseas. Lifeguards from around the world can be spotted being put through their paces at Sandbanks Beach in Poole.
The charity is training rescue organisations from Senegal, Cameroon, Uganda, Bangladesh, India, Thailand, Mauritius and the Philippines in the hope of reducing the number of people who die every year as a result of drowning.
Martin Dowse reports.
Martin Dowse spoke to lifeguards Ankit Wagh and Syed Fazle Naiz. He also spoke to the RNLI's development manager Steve Wills.
