Dorset downpour causes flash floods
Three weeks worth of rain has fallen in Portland, Dorset, overnight - as fire crews across the county deal with dozens of flooding incidents.
Since 8.20am this morning, Dorset Fire & Rescue have dealt with 60 incidents - mostly in the west of the county including Bridport and Portland.
Portland saw 30.6mm of rain from 10pm last night to 10am today. The average rain fall for July is 40mm. In the same period, Bournemouth saw 15.6mm of rain whilst Larkhill saw 10.8mm.
A severe weather warning has been issued for Dorset - particularly in the west of the county. Motorists are being advised to be cautious on the roads, particularly on rural routes.
