The Queen said it was her worst year - the time, 20 years ago, when a huge fire destroyed a large part of her Windsor home. Despite the extensive damage, the Queen said she was very grateful for the efforts made by the firefighters who eventially brought the fire under control. Richard Slee has been to meet two of those firefighters who remember the events well.
