News trainee scheme now open

It’s the perfect kind of fast-paced and pressurised atmosphere in which to learn. So on joining, you’ll really pitch-in taking on a real role with real responsibilities from the offset as you learn the ins and outs of the news industry.

Throughout the course of the year, you’ll divide your time between one of our regional newsrooms and our network ITV News operation and ITV Daybreak. You’ll be taught, mentored and inspired by teams of experienced industry professionals and in-house experts earning both hands-on and field-based experience in all areas of journalism and production.

You don’t need to be an expert already – although we do require some experience in the field. You will need to demonstrate a real passion for ITV, what we do and how we do it; bringing fresh and inspiring ideas with you, working well alongside colleagues at all levels and having a real impact on the business.
