Rescue from the trawler underway in tricky waters

A dramatic rescue took place in the waters off Langstone Harbour in Hampshire after two fishermen issued a Mayday from their sinking trawler on Sunday.

The Portsmouth lifeboat was called out to assist them. The two men were helped off the boat, while the volunteer helmsman of the Norma T lifeboat had to jump clear as a swell opened up and the trawler sank. The RNLI have released dramatic footage of the rescue.
