Fourth murder in eight days

A 36-year-old man from Farnborough was found collapsed in the road with a head injury. The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead on Sunday afternoon .

It was established that he had been hurt in an assault and detectives from CID at Aldershot are now leading a murder investigation.

The dead man's next-of-kin are being kept informed by a police family liaison officer. The man's name has not been released at this time.

Officers have thanked members of the public for their help and information, including people at the scene in Cove Road on Saturday night.

There are extra patrols in the Cove Road area where local officers are appealing for witnesses and speaking with members of the public to provide reassurance and information.
