Confusion over hosepipe ban

Many households are subject to the new restrictions, others - just a few streets away - have escaped them. That's down to the differences between individual water companies across our region.

Littlehampton, for example, comes under Southern Water and has a hosepipe ban. But just across the river in the village of Climping - they're Portsmouth Water - there are NO water restrictions.
