Great River Race boats line up at London Docklands
Traditional boat crews from Melbourne to Maldon have converged on Millwall, London Docklands for the Start of The Great River Race, the 21.6-mile Thames Marathon.
Great River Race from Docklands to Richmond kicks off
The Great River Race has kicked off from London Docklands and is expected to reach Richmond by 3.30pm.
It is described as "London's River Marathon" and a "spectacular boat race2 attracting more than s over 330 crews from all over the globe.
The Great River Race includes serious athletes who like winning, to those who enjoy laughter, fancy dress and charity stunts.
