Man fighting for his life after double shooting in East London

A man is fighting for his life and another has been seriously injured after a double shooting in east London this afternoon.

Police were called to the scene in Forest Gate after reports of shots being fired in Anna Neagle Close at about 3.20pm.

Two men in their 20s were treated at the scene, before being rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service.

Officers confirmed that the more seriously injured man is in a 'critical' condition. The second man's condition is described as serious but stable.

The road was sealed off for several hours as police and paramedics carried out investigations.
