Boris Johnson has launched the new back busking campaign to support musicians playing in public spaces around the capital.
Buskers 'important for cultural richness of London'
Buskers are "incredibly important for the cultural richness" of London, Boris Johnson said today as he launched a new campaign to support musicians across the capital.
"I was cycling home last night and I heard the strings of 'Hotel California' being played across London Bridge by this guy with an electric guitar and it was magical, truly magical and I think it lifts the city," the mayor added.
