The Borough Commander of Merton has been suspended. The action by the Met Police follows complaints about the conduct of Detective Chief Supt Darren Williams which are now being investigated by the professional standards division.
A number of issues were raised by employees over alleged inappropriate behaviour. The Met has not given any further details about the complaints.
The unlicensed events unfolded on Saturday night at Clapham Common and Tooting Bec Common.
