Thick fog causes travel disruption in London
Thick fog has caused another day of flight chaos for air passengers. The poor visibility led to 40 flights being cancelled at Heathrow airport, with dozens of cancellations too at London City Airport.

Big drop in road salt - proof of London's milder winter
Proof this year's winter is milder than last. Salt used on roads in Surrey by 11th Dec this year: 950 tonnes. In 2012 it was 3,100 tonnes.
