A further 19 hospitals, including seven in and around London, are to have their links with disgraced television presenter Jimmy Savile investigated, Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said.
A spokesman for The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust responded, saying:
We have been passed information from 28 years ago by the Department of Health about Jimmy Saville. We have already carried out an initial investigation and we cannot find any evidence to date to support this information, or that Jimmy Saville has ever visited our hospital.
The unlicensed events unfolded on Saturday night at Clapham Common and Tooting Bec Common.
