A green plaque to honour former Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill was unveiled today at his childhood home in St James's Place.

Grandson: I had no idea Churchill lived here

I had no idea my grandfather lived here. I thought he moved from Ireland straight to Connaught Place. I didn't realise there were a few years in the middle when he lived here in St James's Place.

Westminster has so much really important history. A green plaque is a wonderful thing. The history of my grandfather is evergreen, so it is a wonderful gesture to have a green plaque for him.
