Rare Victorian brickwork exposed

An iconic Victorian reservoir is getting a new roof, offering a rare glimpse of it's brickwork.

Usually covered, the Kidderpore reservoir in Hampstead has magnificent rows of arches, which support it's roof, and are usually only visible from inside the structure when the 12 million litres of treated water it contains is drained down. Martin Stew went to have a look:
