Skate park redesign revealed
The Southbank Centre has revealed what a planned new site for skateboarders could look like. The centre wants to turn the existing space into shops. The new site is 120 metres away.
Skaters refusing to look at new Southbank Centre plans
Skaters who use the Southbank Centre's site are refusing to look at the plans for its redevelopment. Speaking to the Evening Standard, a spokesman for campaign group 'Long Live Southbank' said:
"The conversation has always been about the preservation of the undercroft and that is a conservation they're refusing to have. Any conversation about Hungerford Bridge is a distraction from the real issue."
