More than 50 Romanians have created a shanty town at a former football ground in Barnet.
More than fifty people have made an area of London wasteland their home despite council attempts to reclaim the area.
The Romanian makeshift camp is the latest to spring up in the capital after others settled on the grass area of Park Lane.
A council spokesman said: ‘We have been working with thepolice, the leaseholder and homeless charities to clear the area and repatriatethe squatters. Despite repeated attempts to secure the site, it has been illegally re-occupied on at least three occasions.’
The unlicensed events unfolded on Saturday night at Clapham Common and Tooting Bec Common.
