'Suspicious' Islamic centre fire

A Somali Islamic community centre has partially collapsed after a fire police are treating as suspicious.

Over 30 firefighters were called to the Somalian Islamic Bravanese Welfare Centre in Muswell Hill in the early hours of 5th June.

'When and where graffiti was placed is inquiry focal point'

Police today confirmed the letters 'EDL' have been found daubed on an Islamic community centre which was destroyed in a 'suspicious' fire in north London.

Barnet Borough Commander Adrian Usher said police are in the very early stages of the investigation but when and where the graffiti was placed is the focal point of the inquiry.
