  • The most red cards in a single Football League match came in 2012 in a clash between Bradford City and Crawley Town. Six red cards were doled out after the final whistle.
  • The fastest ever league red card came after 13 seconds to Sheffield Wednesday's Kevin Pressman against Wolverhampton in 2000.
  • The record for most career league red cards is jointly held by former Colchester, Exeter and Southend player Roy McDonough and former Wigan and Leicester player Steve Walsh. They both got sent off 13 times.
