The inquest into the death of a five year-old boy in a Surbiton playground has found his death was an accident.
Statement from Kingston Council
Duncan Clark, Director of Learning and Children’s Services said:
“I am sure parents and carers whose children attend Tolworth Infants and Nursery School will be assured by the Inquest’s findings that the adventure playground provided a safe and secure environment for the children.
"The Inquest heard that the children were properly supervised and that school staff reacted appropriately in the immediate aftermath of the incident.
“Samuel is still very much in the thoughts of everyone connected to the school.”
