Commuters to pay a little bit more to get to work

Commuters will have to pay a little bit more to get to work on Monday as the annual fare increases kicked in today.

The price of rail tickets has gone up by just over 1% which is the smallest increase since 2010.

However, the punctuality of trains in the South East is at its worst level for 10 years.

TfL has confirmed that the Oyster system is back up and running.

This morning's technical issue with our Oyster Card readers has been resolved. Customers should now touch in and out as normal.

Anyone charged a maximum fare due to this issue will get an automatic refund credited to their Oyster card early next week.

We apologise for this disruption.
