Black smoke pours into the sky as a London bus is consumed by fire. Footage filmed by Sean McCarthy shows the vehicle engulfed, as fire crews arrive to tackle the blaze.
The incident happened shortly after 9am today, the cause of the fire is being investigated. No one was hurt.
Bus was 'out of service' at time of blaze
Transport for London has released a statement following a fire on a London bus this morning.
Ken Davidson, TfL’s Head of Bus Operations, said: “At around 0920 this morning a fire was reported on a route 172 bus, operated by Abellio, in Forest Hill road.
"The Fire Brigade attended the scene. The bus was out of service and there were no injuries reported, the cause of the fire is currently being investigated."

Bus destroyed by fire in south London
Fire fighters are investigating after a double decker bus caught fire in south London earlier today.
The London Fire Brigade was called shortly after 9am to Wood Vale, SE23.
The bus suffered 100 per cent damaged by the flames, no one was injured.
