A man accused of beheading a grandmother with a machete in her back garden in north London has refused to appear via video link at the Old Bailey.
25-year-old Nicholas Salvadore is accused of killing Palmira Silva in the garden of her home in Edmonton last Thursday.

A man accused of beheading a grandmother with a machete in her back garden has refused to appear via video link at the Old Bailey. 25-year-old Nicholas Salvadore is accused of killing Palmira Silva in the garden of her home in Nightingale Road in Edmonton last Thursday.
Today Salvadore declined to appear at a first Crown Court hearing via video link from Belmarsh prison in south east London.
