Grandson: I had no idea Churchill lived here

I had no idea my grandfather lived here. I thought he moved from Ireland straight to Connaught Place. I didn't realise there were a few years in the middle when he lived here in St James's Place.

Westminster has so much really important history. A green plaque is a wonderful thing. The history of my grandfather is evergreen, so it is a wonderful gesture to have a green plaque for him.

Plaque honours Sir Winston Churchill at childhood home

A green plaque has been unveiled at the former home of Sir Winston Churchill in London. The plaque was unveiled outside the property where the former Prime Minister lived during his childhood - 29 St James's Place.
