But he failed to impress Bertie the terrier puppy, who wouldn't sit still for the cameras.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is today celebrating after recruiting its 1000th volunteer. The Prime Minister praised the "fantastic" work of volunteers at the charity as he was given a tour of the site.
