Harris Hawk Rufus has left hospital following a harrowing ordeal, in which the Wimbledon bird was reportedly stolen last week.

Harris Hawk Rufus has been found after he was reportedly stolen last week at Wimbledon. Owner Imogen said that she "could not believe" that the Hawk had been found and thanked everyone for returning him safely.

So after a weekend of talking about Rufus the Wimbledon Hawk - tonight after our programme a viewer called in to say they have found Rufus.

A bird matching the description of Rufus the Wimbledon Hawk has been found in a carrying case on Wimbledon Common. He's been taken to an animal hospital and his owner has been informed by London Tonight.
