Charities have been hitting the streets to try and raise awareness about the so-called "silent disease", Hepatitis C. As many as 50 thousand Londoners have it but only around 20 per cent are aware they do. Liz Wickham reports.

Two charities are holding a Hepatitis C roadshow in Camden today, to raise awareness about what they say is a "silent disease". As many as 50,000 people in London have it, but many aren't aware. Guy Robarts contracted Hep C as a teenager, but had successful treatment.

A national roadshow to raise awareness of Hepatits C is being held in Camden. Hep C is a silent disease that affects 1 in 40 people worldwide.
If left untreated it can lead to liver cancer and in certain circumstances can lead to death. Andrew Langford, CEO from the British Liver Trust, explains.
