Appeal for information over Russian banker shooting
The wife of a former Russian banker, who was shot several times in Canary Wharf last week, has appealed for information to help find his attacker.
German Gorbuntsov was gunned down in a supected assassination attempt and is now under armed guard in hospital. His condition is described as "critical but stable".
Lorissa Gorbuntsov said:
"This is a very emotional and complicated time for us. I would like to firstly thank everyone who is currently helping and supporting us, especially the Metropolitan Police.
"Their support has been of the highest standard.
"We as a family would like to appeal for any person, in this country or outside the UK, to come forward and provide the police with any information which will assist in the capture of the person or persons behind the attempted murder of my husband German.
"This is an act of pure unexpected violence, which should be treated as so.
"Please come forward so that justice can prevail."

Police look for taxi driver
Police investigating the shooting of the former Russian banker German Gorbuntsov are seeking the driver of a taxi which transported him to Byng Street shortly before the attack.
It is believed that the taxi dropped him off shortly before 7:30 on Tuesday evening.

The 45-year-old Russian national was shot on Tuesday evening as he entered a block of flats. Police are looking for a white, six foot tall man of slim build. He was wearing a dark hooded top and seen running away from the scene on Byng Street.
Mr Gorbuntsov remains in a stable but critical condition in hospital. There has been no arrest at this time and enquiries continue.

German Gorbuntsov is under armed guard after being shot as he entered his multimillion-pound executive apartment in Canary Wharf on Tuesday. Police say suspect, who is white, 6ft and slim, and was wearing dark clothes, was seen running away from Westferry Road after Mr Gorbuntsov was shot.
Gorbuntsov shooting linked to Moscow attempted murder
Reports in Russia said that the shooting of Mr Gorbuntsov may be linked to a 2009 investigation into a murder attempt on another Russian banker, Alexander Antonov, in Moscow. Scotland Yard said it was "too early to speculate".
