Woolwich ferry honks its horn in the River Thames to say thank you to NHS and other key workers

Woolwich Ferry was spotted sounding its horn and spinning in the River Thames on Thursday evening in support of the NHS and other key workers.

The show of appreciation took place during the fourth weekly Clap for Carers event, which takes place every Thursday at 8 o'clock

Londoners once again applauded from their doorsteps and balconies to thank the NHS.

Junior doctor Becky Stout, who filmed the tribute, said on Twitter: "Big thumbs up from the Woolwich Ferry for NHS workers tonight!"

The commuter ferry, which operates in south-east London, spun in a circle and honked its horn while the applause took place.
