Organisers of Pride in London postpone event 'with a heavy heart'

Organisers of Pride in London have postponed the event 'with a heavy heart' but said the safety of communities was their top priority.

The main parade, which attracts a million people to central London, is the capital's third biggest public event and was due to take place at the end of June.

Organisers said the event would take place 'in due course'.

London's Mayor Sadiq Khan said it was disappointing Pride in London wouldn't go ahead as planned but it was important to protect each other.
