Boy stabbed to death on a bus in Croydon

Police have launched a murder investigation after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death on a bus in Croydon.

The Metropolitan Police said they were called to a stabbing in Whitehorse Lane in south London at about 8.30pm on Sunday.

The victim was found suffering multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 9.07pm.

Police believe the victim was involved in an altercation on a bus prior to the attack.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

No arrests have yet been made and a cordon remains in place while inquiries continue.
