Human remains found by detectives investigating murder of Mohammed Shah Subhani
Detectives investigating the disappearance and murder of Mohammed Shah Subhani have found human remains while searching woodland in Buckinghamshire.
The 27-year-old, known as Shah Khan, went missing from his home in Hounslow seven months ago. His white Audi Q3 was found later in Camden with false number plates.
Police revealed today that his remains have been found buried in Woodland near Hedgerley Lane in Beaconsfield.
Shah's family have been told about the discovery. His sister Quirat said she was heartbroken, and asked for anyone who could shed light on what had happened to come forward: "We kept our faith high and believed our beloved brother will return. It broke our hearts and shattered our world when we were told Shah’s body was discovered in an abandoned woodland 15 miles from home.
"Someone maliciously killed the apple of our eye, turned our world upside down and dumped him in an isolated woodland for his body to decompose and for us to be left with nothing but his bones, this will haunt us for a lifetime."
"Someone must know something, they must come forward and help us get justice for Shah. Our hearts will never heal but what our brother does deserve is for justice to be served."
On the day Shah disappeared he was due to collect £5,000 from a business premises in Hounslow. His car arrived at 3.19pm, and was driven away by someone else at 3.47pm.
Police also revealed that a black BMW X5 with cloned plates of YC67 MFY was seen in Hedgerley Lane in the days after Shah disappeared.
The BMW was stolen overnight from Reading Road in Farnborough, Hampshire, on February 8. It was recovered by police in August in Hounslow.
Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh, from Specialist Crime, who is leading the investigation, said: “I met with Shah’s family and I broke this awful news to them, something that I hoped I would never have to do.
"This has been devastating news for Shah’s family at this truly unimaginable time. Shah had everything to live for and was loved by everyone; not only was he murdered, he was prevented a decent and dignified burial.
"I believe that Shah’s discovery is something that his killer(s) were confident would never happen and whilst the worst possible news for his loved ones, it presents a significant springboard for our investigation. I believe this area is known to a small group of people.
