Stormzy portrait hung in National Portrait Gallery

A photographic portrait of London rapper Stormzy has been hung in the National Portrait Gallery.

The picture, by Mark Mattock, shows Stormzy with a crown of letters spelling HITH imposed around his head, representing his new album, Heavy is the Head. In the photo he is looking down at the Union Jack stab vest made by Banksy for his performance at this year's Glastonbury festival.

Gallery director Nicholas Cullinan said he was hoping to acquire the picture for the gallery's permanent collection.
